The crux of any good digital marketing campaign is content. My career in this industry started with writing and I basically stumbled into a whole new world I knew nothing about, but quickly excelled. My love for writing began at a young age—back when I would handwrite stories and draw my own illustrations. It then evolved to using my parents’ typewriter and later establishing myself as a published writer.
From writing content for lawyers to self-storage companies to LED billboard manufacturers, I have learned how to craft a message that resonates with the audience and also establishes relevance with the search engines. You can read some of the things I have learned along the way in my SearchEngineJournal.com post, One Colossal Content Checklist: 37 Tips For Writers.
Content is important, but it doesn’t mean to do it right you have to be naturally gifted. If you learn enough about your audience and you know enough about your subject, you can develop a powerful and compelling message.
